Nancy Charmaine Scholls Weers 2024 Nancy Charmaine Scholls Weers age 90, passed away on August 5, 2024 at the Spires. She was the youngest of three daughters of William and Elsie Scholl. She was born Dec. 14,1933 in Joliet, Illinois. She went to Joliet High School and then attended Northern Illinois State Teachers College in Dekalb, Illinois where she received her Bachelor's Degree. In her early adult years, she worked for a National bank and that is where she caught the eye of Max, her husband of 53 years. She worked for Argonne National Laboratory, in Illinois for 22 years until she and Max moved to Rome in 1979 and Nancy became very active in the Rome community. She was born on October 24, 1931 to Frank and Aniela Dzingelewski. She grew up during the Great Depression in lower Manhattan, New York. Coming from a poor Polish immigrant family, times were tough. Despite this, she loved to read. She was fluent in Polish and English and delighted in playing Polkas with her accordian which was a gift from her mother including the accompanying music lessons despite their poverty.
